Ed’s Balls Up.
This is a rather embarrassing situation if there ever was one. Ed Balls’ anti-bullying campaign has been derailed because his high profile (and apparently ‘hip’) right-hand man has been exposed for… bullying. Dappy, (what an incredibly silly name; it sounds like a new range from Pampers) has been uncovered after sending nasty text messages to a member of the public. Ironically, ‘text message bullying’ is one of the key targets of the campaign.
Now, if you are going to embark on a crusade, you need to be damn sure of who is fighting alongside you. Wappy Dappy was obviously not the best of choices when it came to anti-bullying warriors… Perhaps Mr. Balls (what is it today with ridiculous names?) could have done a little homework on this individual before hiring him. In fact, if Mr. Balls were actually in touch with anything that goes on in Britain he would already know all about him.
Dappy has a rather dodgy track record and it is all very well documented. He has spat in a girl’s face, terrorised passengers on a plane and (allegedly) waved a gun in someone’s face whilst making threats. Does this really sound like a good spokesman for an anti-bullying campaign???? If that is not enough for you then how about the stupid image that he puts across with his ‘music’? Punching people in the face in music videos is the latest in cool when you are a member of the N-Dubz crew. What a plank.
Apparently, this episode came about after Chloe Moody insulted Dappy on air by saying that he was ‘vile’ and ‘a little boy with a silly hat’. These remarks resulted in Dappy threatening to kill her. How very childish and pathetic. Although so many people dislike him it does make me wonder what he has to pay for his Touring caravan insurance…
This whole thing is totally nuts. It is a bit like organising an anti-drugs campaign and electing Pete Docherty as its main representative or an anti-cruelty movement with Robert Mugabe at the helm… What a crazy, crazy world!
However, I shan’t say anything derogatory about Mr. Dappy’s headwear just in case he hunts me down; even if it is the most ridiculous looking hat on planet Earth…
