In order for a child to receive the proper life, Paternity testing holds high importance. Depending on your location, Paternity tests may cost anywhere within the range of $400-$2,000. While this cost may seem like a high expense, having knowledge of the birth father holds high importance for the child’s future. If there is any question in the mother’s mind of who the father is, get a paternity test as soon as possible to ensure that the child has a proper life, and get it done by someone working proper locum doctors jobs that will stand up in court. Even if the father has nothing to do with the child, knowing the father is important for other reasons.

Knowing the birth father’s identity allow legal access to social security, inheritance and veteran’s benefits for the child. Additionally, it provides the newborn with accurate medical history, and the ability to predict and diagnose diseases easier and more accurately.

Many states require that when a baby is born out of wedlock, that the unmarried couple fill an AOP (Acknowledgment of Paternity) form. Once the unmarried couple sends the AOP to the Bureau of Vital statistic in the parent’s residing state, the father listed on the AOP form is recorded as the legal father of the child.

If the mother becomes pregnant and is married, or has not been divorced for over 300 days, then the husband of the mother is assumed to be the father. If the husband is not the father, then the biological father must sign a AOP form, and the husband must also sign a form denying the paternity. If the husband refuses to sign the denial, the only option for the biological father has no option, but to take the husband to court in order to establish paternity. If taken to court, the court will preform a DNA and paternity test on both alleged fathers. The results of this test will establish the true paternity.

Despite a record number of donations in the run-up to the general elections, Labour currently has the highest debt of any of the major British political parties, at around £10 million. The level of debt within Labour is now so severe that John Prescott, who was the party’s former deputy minister, warned that the party could risk facing bankruptcy unless it made clear steps to reduce its spending on campaigns.

This is in stark contrast to figures for the Conservative Party, which has debts running at less than a third of Labour’s, at £2.81 million. The Liberal Democrats’debt figure of less than half a million pounds is just five percent of that of Labour, although the Conservatives were the only party to reduce their overall debts in the last year. The Scottish National Party (SNP) stabilised its debts at £484,500, although like the Liberal Democrats, they are a much smaller party than Labour and the Conservatives. When taking into account overdraft limits, Labour’s debt is an astonishing £16.6 million, followed by the Conservatives at £13 million, the Liberal Democrats at £1.6 million and the SNP at around £0.8 million.

Despite Labour’s inability to Improve Credit Score they do still gain large donations from their supporters. However, in terms of donations, it was the Conservative Party which had received the most funding. They benefitted from £12.3 million in donations from various groups and individuals, including a number of MPs. Labour received £10.9 million, while the Liberal Democrats received £2 million and the SNP just under £0.3 million. The SNP have been highly critical of Labour, suggesting that they had not recorded their donations from a major pre-election fundraising initiative in Glasgow, led by then-Prime Minister Gordon Brown. Glasgow City Council’s SNP leader, James Dornan, accused Gordon Brown of bankrupting his own party and indeed the country.

Peter Wishart, the Perth and North Perthshire SNP MP, accused Labour of running their finances as disastrously as they ran the British economy. He also said that this would not bode well for the party at the next election, especially when they were still struggling to finish payments for their spending on the previous general election. He suggested that this help the SNP gain more votes in next year’s Holyrood election.

In response to the article ‘Sex education not good enough’ I think it highlights an extremely important point that children are not receiving satisfactory education about sex. The article says that ‘lessons about sex, relationships and health are not good enough in 25% of schools in England.’ That’s one in four schools that do not meet the Ofsted standard. Think how many schools there are in your local area, would you like your child to be attending one of those four schools? I do not have any children, but my answer is a definite no. Teacher embarrassment and lack of knowledge is not acceptable on any level. If these are some of the reasons why we are failing to educate children then perhaps another approach is needed. If teachers are unable to talk about sex and relationships with their pupils, perhaps someone from outside the school who is able to talk seriously and professionally about the subject like a professional working a locum doctor job in the area is required. I appreciate that sex education is not always an easy topic to discuss with teenagers, but this should not deny them the opportunity to learn properly about sex. Nor should it be conveyed that it is a difficult subject to talk about. I think separate arrangements should be made for pupils to receive talks and discussion groups about relationships and topics of interest to them. If pupils do not feel they have support and the opportunity to discuss sex, relationships and health at school, then the education system is failing them. Recent programs shown by the BBC such as ‘Underage and pregnant’ are illustrations of the effects lack of education can have on school children. If children understood sex and relationships and were more open to talk about their issues and concerns then many problems and issues in society could be resolved, perhaps be nonexistent. This article suggests that there is gap in what is being delivered to pupils and what the pupils actually need. A starting point would be to re evaluate the way that sex education is delivered in schools across England and implement a scheme that is more effective and of benefit to children.

Identigene is the brand name that Rite Aid has given to its new DNA paternity test kit. The aptness in the name is because it helps to establish the identity of the father of the child and does so by comparing genes. The speciality of the test kit though is that this test can be used at home.

The kit was first tested by the company through their West Coast stores and checked for customer willingness. Once that was established they opened up their sales to all drugstore chains across the country.

The kit contains the swabs which can be taken at home rather than at the test lab and then the specimen has to be given to the labs for testing and result. The cost in total that of taking the swab and getting the results from the lab is higher than what this test kit provides. The kit comes for $20 and the lab test is another $120.

There is the other factor of both the parents in question being assured that the correct specimen has been given to the lab for testing. The doubt of a fictitious individual’s swab having been tested by the lab for getting their result is erased with this at home kit.

There are still arguments and counter arguments in favour and against this type of kit. The very reason of the DNA and paternity test and its seriousness is lost if the people involved could just sit at home and take their swabs.

The court as yet does not entertain the results of this type of home test kit. Some extra special tests are required for it to be accepted at the court. The product has a long way to go still by way of acceptability as well as usability. Till then the test of who is the father would still remain more prevalent at the lab centres only.

Home equity release

The first issue is whether or not you are currently living with a partner, relative or a friend. These residents would be required to find alternative accommodation in the event of your death. You must also take the liberty of formalising an inheritance plan for your family, as after an equity release occurs your family will be unable to inherit your property. Your age will determine the amount of month-by-month cash payments you can accumulate. Somebody pursuing home equity in their late 50s could accumulate substantially more than someone in their late 70s, for example. You should also pick a scheme that gives you the opportunity to move to another residence, should you need to. For example, you may need to move to an elderly care home or you may want to sell your property and move to a different region in the country.

You should also seek proper independent financial and legal advice before deciding to apply for home equity release as terms and conditions are very complex. Discussing the plans with your relatives is especially important and you may need to prepare yourself for a family feud.

is typically available to people aged 55-70 who own a property that is worth a minimum of £30,000. They usually involve loans that amount to the total value of a property, sometimes given in one lump sum. There are a number of issues that need to be considered before applying for a home equity scheme and it is important to be aware of each and every one of them.

The House of Commons in a white paper presented this week has brought out the issue of “information revolution” for patients. The white paper has been titled ‘Equity and excellence: Liberating the NHS’.

The content of the paper talks about what the Conservative manifesto had been during the run up to the general elections. It now indicates specific steps that the Government plans to tackle to implement this so called ‘revolution’.

NHS providers would be subject to checks or rather the term coined is “meaningful, risk adjusted assessment of their performance against their peers”. The result thus obtained would be made public. The paper therefore specifies assessment of commissioners as well as quality audits being performed on the NHS.

There is also provision in the paper for patients to rate the NHS for the services they have rendered to the patient and the patients opinion about the service and those they have come into contact with working locum doctor jobs. This therefore helps the NHS program to get on to the stage where the policy of “no decisions about me without me” would finally come to force.

Implementation process of the scheme also needs to be addressed. This is expected to be done this autumn. How the data is to be collected, security of the data and migration of the data amongst the different schemes would need to be addressed as yet.

Information is all about data and its authenticity in every field of life. The paper therefore places on record about 28 recommendations. These recommendations once implemented and data collected using the yard sticks laid down by these recommendation it would make the information not only available but also reliable and insightful. The data thereafter would be given to an expert group for analyzing and preparing reports based on which funding of the various schemes would be taken up by the government of the day.

The latest in a series of rows has between the new, and previous, governments has erupted after that most British of political devices – the leak!

The Guardian newspaper have somehow come into possession of figures, allegedly originating in the heart of the Treasury, that indicate up to 1.3 million jobs could be lost by 2015 as a result of the recent Budget cuts.

The newspaper alleges that the leaked information came from a slide that formed part of a presentation given in the Treasury prior to last week’s Emergency Budget. A treasury official has so far refused to confirm whether the slide was genuine or not, but Prime Minister Cameron will surely spare no efforts in rooting out the mole after a succession of damaging leaks blighted both the Tony Blair and John Major administrations.

Whether or not the information proves to be genuine, the leak could prove to be very damaging for the new coalition. The figures allege that more than 140,000 private sector and 120,000 public sector jobs could be lost every year for the next five years, including jobs that were thought to be secure, like locum doctor jobs. This is in stark contrast to claims made by the government that 2.5 million new jobs would be created during the same period.

The cuts announced by George Osborne during the budget were wide ranging and stringent, but had been widely expected as a way of reducing the unprecedented debt levels that the United Kingdom faces. The Conservative-Lib Dem coalition are laying the blame squarely at the door of the departed Labour government but the Labour Party are refusing to shoulder responsibility, instead accusing the Tories of using the budget to hammer the poor in their traditional manner.

Senior opposition politicians, as well as Trade Union leaders such as TUC General Secretary Brendan Barber, are already going to town on this leak, accusing Chancellor George Osborne of duplicity and claiming that he must have known of these figures and hidden them when he gave his budget speech to the House of Commons. Mr Osborne is expected to mount a vigorous defence of both the cuts and his job creation plans but if leaks such as these keep occurring then his job, and that of his coalition partners, could become increasingly difficult in the months to come.

Many years ago there was not a possibility of proving if you were linked to someone by DNA. You were just thought to be someone’s child if your mother said you were. Some men throughout history have probably thought they were not the father of a child they were raising but no way to prove otherwise. Now we do have DNA testing and it has helped society immensely.

Through the use of DNA testing children have now been able to be positive that their parents are their parents. This is not just used to prove who is supposed to be caring for the children or paying child support for them. It is used for that purpose but not only for that purpose. It is also used for medical reasons. There have been times when children have been deathly ill and no one can figure out what is wrong. There is no genetic characteristics that show why the child has the symptoms they have. There have been cases where the mother had relations with someone that turns our to be the child’s father. They find our he is the father through DNA testing and then get his family’s medical history. Instantly the doctor will be able to match up all of the medical history and will get a better idea of what the child has.

When getting a DNA test often times child support is the main reason people get it. They do not focus on the other positives that come from it. It is important for a child to have great role models and to know who their parents are. As they grow up it is important for them to know the medical history of both sides of their family to make sure they can grow to be healthy and strong. They will need to be aware of any diseases in the family and do whatever preventative measures are necessary. They can only do that by knowing who their family is.

<p style="TEXT-ALIGN: left; MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"align="left">The recent elections have left the country with no clear electoral winner. This seems surprising to most people when one considers the long and hard fought election campaign that also include for the first time election debates. But what is the big issue with the current situation?

<p style="TEXT-ALIGN: left; MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"align="left">If no political party wins an outright majority, this is a hung parliament. In the current election, there are 650 total seats, and to avoid a hung parliament, one of the political parties will require a minimum of 326 seats to gain a majority. The Tories, however, predict to only to receive 309 seats. If they do not gain a majority, they will be forced to create a coalition government in order to have a majority. This will prove to be difficult especially when one considers the fact that the parties differ greatly on some key issues.

<p style="TEXT-ALIGN: left; MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"align="left">If this happens, then it will be rather difficult for the ruling party to pass laws, since they require the votes from those in their party who occupy seats in the House of Commons. If the ruling party does not have a majority, then they will have to rely on the support from other party members who logically hold the majority of seats. This causes problems when passing laws, since the modern day political arena is more concerned with partisan politics rather than the betterment of the nation.

<p style="TEXT-ALIGN: left; MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"align="left">The major problem that a hung parliament will cause in Britain, according to many economists and financial advisers, has to do with Britain’s economic recovery. This is due mainly to the lack of faith and confidence in a minority government. A hung parliament could also damage the nation’s credit rating, as well as handcuff the effectiveness of the government, as endless bickering and delays will serve only to eliminate any success a government can have.

<p style="TEXT-ALIGN: left; MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"align="left">The best solution in the event of a hung parliament is the formation of a coalition government, which has been proven successful in other European nations, such as Italy. But many do not want a coalition government, since they do not share the same values and outlook on the future as they do. However, it is a far better solution than having a minority government.

It’s a full time job! - Well that’s what our MPs keep telling us - some of them claim to be working up to 70 hours a week! So they deserve the salary (about £64,000 pa).

It’s a full time job - surely - as a government minister, after all they are running the country and therefore they deserve a decent salary - and they get it (though they forfeit the basic £64K).

So the question has to be asked that if being an MP is a full time job and being a government minister is a full time job - how can they possibly do both?! They will tell you that they have “Parliamentry Private Secretaries”who do thier basic constituency work while they are in government. But these PPSs are themselves MPs - supposedly working up to 70 hours a week on thier own constituency work. So how do these, obviously miraculous, individuals manage to do the job of thier bosses as well. Do they really work up to 140 hours a week?

Answer - OF COURSE THEY DON’T!!!

And it doesn’t stop there…..

I shall however divert my attention from these “hard working"PPSs and ministers - let’s look at three ordinary MPs - well two backbenchers and a very prominent front bench spokesman.

Diane Abbott MP (Labour, Hackney and Stoke Newington). Now I like Diane, I think she comes over really well on BBCs “This Week”with Michael Portilo and Andrew Neal. In the 2009 calander year she earned a tasty £26,000 or so from this source. Here she works late into the night, on top of her up to 70 hours a week daytime job remember! But there’s more. She also made £1,250 for writing an article for the Guardian, £3,500 in lecture fees, £1,650 for other TV appearances and £785 for other articles written. A busy girl!

How about Tory MP Tony Baldry (Banbury) (Tony is known as “Baldric”in his constituency. He manages to hold down 7 directorships ( mostly non-exec) for which he received some £42,000 last year. Tony is also a praticing barrister and raked in fees of over £37,000 for this in 2009. A busy boy, but he does need to afford his italy ski vacations somehow now that he can’t ’charge it’!

On to the much revered Dr. Vince Cable MP (Lib Dem, Twickenham). Now before I start on this well respected man I must point out that Vince gave away more of his fees to charity than he actually kept himself - a good man! He still kept £23,333 for writing a column in The Mail on Sunday and a £2,068 book advance (he’s since received a further £23,000 royalty) and £500 from The Times. A busy man (we can’t call Vince a boy!).

No wonder so many people are unemployed - the MPs have got all the jobs!
